Ampère 200 ans

En 1820, on connait peu de chose en électricité et on ne fait aucune relation entre charges électriques et aimants. Ampère stimulé par l’expérience du danois Hans Christian Oersted va découvrir les interactions entre courants et entre courants et aimants et bâtir les fondements d’une science nouvelle l’électrodynamique qui préfigure déjà la théorie plus générale de l’électromagnétisme de l’écossais James Clerk Maxwell. Maxwell qualifiera d’ailleurs Ampère de « Newton de l’électricité ».
